Analyzer Satellite configuration for Wind Turbines predictive maintenance

France: OROS chosen by La Compagnie du vent, GDF SUEZ Group, a reference in renewable energy

With more and more wind farms installations, the challenge for operators is the maintenance of the machines. Corrective or scheduled maintenance are widely implemented in this industry. This method works but is not optimized.
OROS took part to a project to install a system on a wind turbine's machine train for the predictive maintenance. Vibration behavior of several elements has been followed: rotor, slow shaft, gearbox, speed shaft and generator.
For the wind turbines operator La Compagnie du vent, several objectives were involved:
  • Improving the maintenance planning (operations organization and spare parts supply)
  • Increasing the wind turbine life time
  • Improving the Return Of Investment (ROI)
OROS Satellite systems have been installed in the wind turbines for more than 2 years. The continuous feedback acquired during this time helped optimize the system configuration for a best machine train health follows up. OROS China at VIBE FORUM: for Noise & Vibration measurement and analysis

November 14, 2012, Shanghaï, China

OROS China is organizing a free seminar focused on the Energy & Process market, in association with its local partners. It aims to provide the basics to Turbomachinery Vibration Analysis, Structural Dynamics analysis, torsional vibration measurement and many other solutions. OROS noise and vibration experts will be fully available to answer all your questions and to show the best application cases depending on your specific application.

The program includes the following key points:

From sensors to analysis, multiple applications made possible by one single instrument in the field

Unbalance, misalignment, rubbing, fluid instabilities, and resonances on Turbomachinery: What tools to capture and solve them?

Measure torsion and twist of rotors: The good sensors and analysis field considerations to avoid catastrophic failures

A new machine just installed? A unrepeatable vibration problem? Put it under temporary intensive condition monitoring!

Generator end-winding bump testing, skid deflections, blade vibrations: How your heavy-duty structures vibrate?

The importance of structural analysis by Lingmi Zhang, professor at Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics
